Petrach’s Bath

An island unit, Petrach’s Bath comprises of two parts – a white inner bath (octagonal part) giving the likeness of a waterlily, and an outer case.

Named after the Italian poet Francesco Petrarch (1304-1374) the concept design for the ‘sit bath’ draws on the story of Petrarch – who is known to have conceptualised the idea of a historical ‘Dark Ages’ and is credited with inspiring the humanist philosophy, which led to the intellectual flowering of the Renaissance.

An island unit, Petrach’s Bath comprises of two parts – a white inner bath (octagonal part) giving the likeness of a waterlily, and an outer case (appearing as black). The idea being, the bathing adult or child is cradled within the bloom of the flower.
