Heartland follows the adventure of a motorcycle racer enmeshed with her bike. Beginning with the seductive scape of the motorcycle the courtship between the racer and the elusive bike proceeds to reconfigure the space they inhabit. A landscape of visual fantasy emerges featuring Throttle butterflies, Pocket rockets, Power plants and Twin heads.
In Heartland the motorcycle is a ‘cipher’ – and is rendered immaterial, unable to hold its shape or form once the racer’s-race is up. Sporting a custom designed motorcycle leather tilted Bodywork the racer’s emotional world is emblazoned across her skin-tight suit.
